Anybody run into this yet? I have a 2 cabinet system, ext 216 lost all it's programming, lost it's button mapping. when you try to call internally, nothing happens, until about 10 seconds later, then, the phone beeps. I reloaded the button mapping, and swapped out the phone. it just happened again. I don't want to Hear " Bad Port "....

I suggest you check your cinch connections between cabinets. Make sure they are tight and tie wrapped down so they will stay that way. You may need a system reset as well.

If the phone is using cat 5 cable, you night try rewiring the station to the w/brn pair. I had a similar situation that is behaving since I tried this. They had 2-way radios and perhaps something was induced into the tighter twist on some runs that didn't get into the looser twist. But this is just an anecdotal account, not a technical one.

The cabinet has been reset. The cable between is tight. I'm leaning toward bad cabling( we reused a mess)and it's going to be a bear to replace it( location: Convent) :-( in a stone Chapel.

Would the mess happen to include BRGY quad wire going to the stations? It's not a problem if the runs are short and don't run next to anything noisy (which for me is always). It seems the last few installs I was lucky to find any cat3

well, it was installed about 2 years ago, this just started happening, But, like I said, the cabling has all kinds of splice points, Solid Ceilings Everywhere...I'm Sure there is some QUAD cable.
