(THIS IS A LONG STORY) Customer just moved into this 1st flr ste from the 3rd flr, & is reusing a left in place 0 X 32 MICS with 1 combo card & 1, 6 port fiber exp. card, 1 DS card & a DID card in the main unit. Plus 1, 12 X 0 unit with 2 CI cartridges. Then 7, 0 X 16 exp. units. They had a CICS with a Startalk Fkash V M in their previous suite. So we decided to use the MICS, & programmed their 6 CO lines to the 2 CI cards in the 12 X 0 unit so they would have CID.
OK Voice mail: Don't know if the startalk died or if we have something screwed up. The Startalk is on sta. 295 & we setup everyones mailbox , & the lines we used came in on 049,050, 051,052,057, & 058. We tested every thing & left. About 6 weeks later they called & said the VM won't answer. NEXT POST

I checked all my settings VIA FTR 983 & they all check out. I call sta. 295 , I get the LOG IN window & login, & I get "System Manager" mailbox & someone making a futile attempt at putting in a greeting. 295 had a mailbox in the system & I deleted it. It still won't answer. I replaced the pwr sup. .no change . maybe the whole system is bad??

What is the software versions of both the MICS and the Flash?

I would guess that the Flash was running a compatible version since it did work at one point - if they simply try to access their mailbox - F981, what happens? If they have access, then something got screwed up, if they get "inactive feature" then the Flash died.

Knowing versions can sometimes assist in troubleshooting.
i.e 1.44 was flaky....1.7 too maybe.

Since you can log into F983 it is not totally dead.
When you are logged in try and press 4 and see if vmail is turned on.

Suggest you change the password so you will not get anyone tampering with it.

I never thought about software, I'll get that when I go back next week. And also try the 4 thing. More on Mon. or Tuesday.
