I have a Partner ACS that goes in to "Test Mode" almost every day. Some times a couple of times a day, other times it will be fine for a few days. I recently defaulted the processor and reprog'd everything. It was fine for a few days but now it's back. I'm not really an Avaya guy but I have installed several Partner systems. They have a large Partner messaging modual with another pc card plugged into it. I have done nothing with the voice mail. Has been working fine for years, this started about a month ago. Resets will fix things for a while. I think the processor is an R3. Any help? Thanks

With the Avaya Partner Messaging, the system goes into Test Mode if the PCMCIA license is missing or bad. Either the port license is bad, or, the voice mail is starting to go.
If you back everything up and verify that the backup batteries are good, try a system reset. Otherwise either the voice mail module or PCMCIA card will need to beat replaced.

Thanks Dex. I put in a different processor and the problem still came back. Guess the voice mail is starting to go. Customer is 2 hours away so I left them a pc card voice mail. Just got off the phone with them. Unplugged the old plugged in the new, did some prog'g over the phone. Fingers crossed.

The processor itself should be good. The R3 is a bit "long in the tooth".
Consider upgrading to either an R6 or R8.

How are you seeing this test mode?

Partner messaging without a valid license card. Not "seeing" it but hearing it when you try Intercom 777. In all of the cases that I've encountered, the PCMCIA license card was just fine, it was the Partner Messaging module that was bad. The ACS is NOT part of the equation.

What Tommy said, that's what I was trying to get from the OP. I did actually have a bad license card once. It seemed to have been whacked which damaged it and made it intermittent.
