I am wondering if this type of call director phone will work on 1a2 key system. On my system I only have 5 lines so I am only concern about the first roll of buttons working.
Here is a youtube vid of the phone since I am unable to upload a pic.

You can assign the lines on your system to any of the buttons. Typically you would assign the 5 lines to the first amphenol. Regarless of which other lines you assign, you should assign line 1on the phone. After that it's up to you, but if you're going to mix and match you're going to need 3, 25 pair cables (I don't think you can easily find a 75 pair around anymore).

"Where are we going and why are we in this hand basket?"
Thanks for the reply, will the first 5 buttons be on the first amphenol cable or would I have to do any rewire in the phone? Are the call directors plug and play like the 2565 phones?
The first row of buttons (Hold and lines 1-5) are the first amphenol. The second row (lines 6-10) is the second amphenol, etc. These types of call directors came in sizes up to 30 lines (with 5 amphenols).
Like ALMOST all 1A2 products, they are plug and play.
