I went and looked at the system today. It was a bit different, more of an intercom system that you could hook phones to also. I opened the rack and the installer had left all of the manuals on the bottom. That helped a bit. They have two TC4180 cages, one with 5 line cards and one with no line cards. I should be okay with the number of lines already. There was a floppy disk with the software but I haven't tried it out yet. It looked like quite a piece of equipment. I'm glad it was already wired, I'm afraid that I don't know how to wire wrap :-) Thanks for the info Ed, I'm glad there was some knowledge of the system here.

Okay a bit better if you have 4180's its not that old, if the chassis is there and wired you should be able to install cards and program. Rauland will wire up a chassis even if its shipped empty to set it up for future use.
If this is the case all you need is the cards and some programming and you should be good to go.

Are there any codes that can be used to get an outside line besides 8 and 9? Also, it's currently programmed to only allow a few administrative stations to dial 8 for an FX line. I will be replacing the FX line with two channels of voice over IP so I want everyone to have access to it. Thanks for the help
