Right. There used to be a problem with the 400 to the left of a Mail VS used with early releases of the ACS. I always got into the habit of putting them after the messaging. Since the messaging is seen as a 006 mod the CO lines will continue in order after the mods before the messaging.

I have never heard of that but.

You can still put your new 206 in slot 2
Your 400 in slot 5
Your mail in slot 4

Then your new extensions would start with 24.

I asume you reffered to #505 <-- command for doing hunt groups correct? In which I will have to redo hunt group 7 for voice mail? And is hunt groups are same as a selector codes or no?

Thank you for all of your input. I will try it once I will return from my vacation.

No,.....#505 is where you will assign the correct extensions to hunt group 7 for your VM system.

You would first need to look at your mail and see if there is a expanion PC card in it to bump it up to 4-port.
The following is for a 2-port mail.

If you put your mail in slot 4 it would be extensions: 30 and 31

If you put it in slot 5 it would be extensions:36 and 37

Oh,........then don't forget to unassign extensions 24 and 25 out of #505. If you have 2-port mail. If it is 4-port then it would be 24,25,26,and 27.

Hope this helps,

This is a perfect example of a situation where you would be miles ahead to call and hire a local vendor to service your system. For a couple of hundred bucks (or less) you could have this problem solved as well as have someone nearby to help in the future!

I agree. You are in over your head here if you can't even identify the components of the system. It's not the purpose of this forum to give you an education, rather to point you in the right direction. If that is not sufficient it means you have no business trying to do this yourself. It would be in your best interest to call an Avaya dealer to handle this for you.
