I'm a sells person and I am trying to sell one of these solutions. I want to know what technicians think about the Intertel Axxess Converged Communications Platform VS. the Mitel 200 ICP. My e-mail is [email protected] all the input I can get will be very useful. Thanks

You might have a little trouble finding many techs who are well versed on both systems. I'm strong on Axxess but fairly weak on Mitel issues. Perhaps you would be better off requesting answers to specific questions so that techs from both sides could help answer them.
Also, the moderators have requested that the techs ask you fill out your profile so we can get to know you. If you'll do that you will probably get a bigger response.
Actually our tech's love the Mitel system and say there is not much of a comparison, but we don't sell Intertel. I think the 200 ICP is a much more robust phone system but again only hearing this stuff from Mitel reps and techs. My customer loves the Mitel system but it is considerably more than the intertel system.
I'm very sold on the Axxess from a tech stand point. I don't know much about Mitel.
I really like the expandability of the Axxess and it's networking capabilities. As a user I love the call routing tables and it's I.P. phone abilities. Also, the Level I portion of Unified Messaging allows me to have all my voice mails emailed as a .wav file to my cell phone. I just press the button and they play over the speaker without having to call in. That's nice since I HATE having to call in for VM.
I hate the fact that Inter-Tel held back CID features such as call history and CID on single line circuits until the later versions of V9. I also hate their Micorsoft style licensing issues.
Those are a few items to get you started.
BTW, noticed you're in Ashville. Is it as beautiful there as they say it is?
Thanks for the reply, Asheville to me is not as beautiful as it was ten years ago, and now is becoming very costly to live here. The things you listed that you hate about the Axxess, Mitel actually does and has for a while. The 200 ICP is a easily expanded system as well, with unified messaging, and twinning upto 5 devices. I'm really looking for things that just jump out and say here's a huge difference. I know the Axxess is IP enabled but if you want to go IP in the future I've heard you must fork lift the system, Is this true?
It's really not that bad. You do have to add a card, but the cabinet is engineered very well and it's not a big issue.
If you want to get some specific questions answered about the IP aspects of the Axxess you might send a PM to superfoneguy. He's probably more up to speed on the IP issues in the later versions than most anyone else here.
