Has anyone had a TN568 (R4.0.2) hard drive fail and use the MO disk to restore to a new hard drive? I have reviewed the Avaya doc "DEFINITY AUDIX System Administration 585-300-507" and it appears that you can but I am being told that you can't. If you can how can I add the MO disk with the valid backup without getting rid of the data on an unprogrammed system?
Thanks

Whoever told you couldn't restore the customer backup is wrong. You have to fallow the instructions. Yes if the system is up and working and you add the MO Drive it will erase the disk. you have to be in the single user mode. to start you have to Reload the hard drive from scratch and then restore the backup. Call me I can help. Chris 303-593-1763 or 303-997-5515

Hey Chris Thanks for the reply. I got back to the site today and was able to restore from the drive. In the end, I could just "add MO" and not initialize and the contents were not lost. I had to redo the backups (announcements, daily, weekly and voice) and all was good
Thanks for your insight.
