Per Nortel and we had 2 senior supervisors sit around on this one. And I qoute "Nortel has no equipment that is hot swap able" BCM's especially, you can slide cards in and out of MICs and CIC's and it will work 90% of the time and have no effect on the card, but is not recommended as the disable feature only turns the software side of the card off. There is still power connected to that card. Nortel advises you power off all equipment slide out the card and reinstall the card. So as I often have to tell my wife I have done that for 10 years, and she says you better start changin that. Here is another thing I need to add to my list. :shrug:
