So I have been wokring on this for 2 weeks now and here is what I have and where I stand.
What I have: MICS 6.1 with PRI used for in/outbound calls. I also have a T1 card setup to link to a Vocera system.
What works: I can communicate between the Norstar and the Vocera via the T1. I can make a call out of the Vocera via the Norstar's PRI. Simply setup as E&M on the first 10 channels and this works. Vocera access its T1 and dials "9" to access the PRI on the Norstar or direct dials a local Norstar ext.
What I cant figure out: I want to assign a DID that comes over the PRI and somehow route that to the T1 I have linking to the Vocera. Vocera should answer anything that opens a channel. To access the T1 I am using a simple destination code.
Please advise,
NOTE: I have a full 24 channels to play with. I am only using the first 10 till I figure out what to do about the DID comming in and being routed to the T1 that ties to the Vocera.

I'm not familiar with Vocera.
Since Vocera is a non Nortel product you should contact their tech support.

Here is the latest. I tried to forward an extension (call fwd, dest code 55, blank) this did not work. Literally it should but I could for some reason, not even forward to an off site phone number. This is release 4.1 so I should be able to do this type of a forward.
Anyway... my thought was to have a set permanantly forwarded to the T1 trunks via dest code and route (T1). This did not work for what ever reason.
Please advise.

I am not a Nortel guru, but I do know you can line redirect a PRI, I am currently doing that for a customer. Although they do have the latest software. I also instead of using a phone, set it up on my RAD phone works fine. Sorry that don't help much, just know it is possible. So I assume the DID number rings the Ext. ok. So when you do Feature 84 select the DID line and redirect it that is where it gets lost?

I have done this setup but with a fax server and it worked great, so I don't see why it wouldn't work with your Vocera. What you need to do is, instead of programming the DID that you want to route out of the Norstar as a target line, you need to program it as a Destination code using the T1 span. This causes the Norstar to route the calls out through the T1 when the CO sends the digits of this DID.
