I have a Nortel M7324 phone and purchased a new Plantronics H141N headset. I plug the headset into the headset jack on the phone and it works fine. When I use the "quick disconnect" I cannot use the headset.

This wasn't an issue with my previous (read old) headset. Any suggestions?

Standard programming is that you have a Speakerphone button, that becomes a Headset button, if you have a headset plugged into the HEADSET jack. You use the speakerphone button to turn the headset on and off and the HANDSET off and on, respectively. Any chance you also got a 7324 at the same time you got the new headset, or took another 7324 from some other desk, or moved to a different extension? May need some corrective programming if any of that is true.

I've seen the headset and handset plugged into each other's jacks by mistake. That causes some strange things.

Sounds to me like you've answered your own question...

If it's "Disconnected", it isn't going to work.
