Are you sure you have a KX-TA616 system? I only know of the KT-TA624 in Panasonic's older lineup.

Anyway, the 7230 is not supported by the KX-TA system, only the KX-TD systems and other more recent ones. The replacement phone you will need that is comparable to the 7230 is the 7030 (discontinued) or 7731 (current model).

Sorry to bring bad news, but there's no way that the 7200 series will work with the system you indicated.

How come there's always enough time to go back and fix it a second time?

Ed, the older Panasonics b/4 the 624 was a flat pack 3X8 and a 6X16. They had numbers ending in 10 ---- such as 30810 , 61610, and the big brother with card slot cage, 123210.

Oh, us old timers ! [Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]

The KXT-7230 sets are the older digital display sets and will not work with any of the analog systems.
