Ours are relaxing this as well. I never understood the pager part. They really don't send out a signal so there is no benifit for turning them off. Pluss if they are off You Will NOT get any pages sent.
Ours are even installing Amateur Radio stations in them as a complement to Emergency Preparedness.
I would check with your Cell provider. They may be willing to put up a repeater there. it would benifit both of you.
