hello guys not long ago i was told infinity phones will work on the 1428. i dont know anything about infinity but i do have trouble with the dial pad on the 1428 sets. anyone know anything about this. thanks dave

No, the software in the KSU determines whether the Starplus or infinite phones are supported by the KSU. You can't use both on the same system, but by changing the software, it can be converted to support one phone model or the other.

Old 1400 series sets (1410, 1412, 1414) will have dial pad problems showing up in their old age. If you prefer, you can swap these out for refurbed sets. Make sure new dial pads have been put in.

thanks for the help i have never worked on an infinite but its good to know they wont swap. yes i have had trouble with 1428 dial pads and they dont make the 1400s anymore. yes a good refurb with new dial pad is the only way to go. i am lucky ionly have a few customer with that system. have a good week. dave

Over the years, we have developed a repair process for the keypad that lasts a heck of a lot longer than a new pad (with the same flawed design) does. We offer a lifetime warranty on the keypad repair. Please note that this is not just a replacement of the keypad, it is rebuilding the manner in which the keypad makes contact.
