It's not a KSU problem. It's a defect with the phones (I am assuming they are IN-9015 models). You might try taking them apart, blowing out the transmitter element in the right-front corner of the set with canned air, then reseating it in the rubber mounting. They collect dust and also bounce loose from their mounting. This problem has been corrected, but since that phone model has been discontinued for years, the factory isn't going to do anything about this without a repair charge.
