We have a customer with an Infinite system (IN500-00) utilizing a mini-mail for VM needs. A couple of weeks ago we replaced their cabinet and reprogrammed everything back the way it originally was setup by a different installer. They are configured 6x24 and use XTs 108-116 as mailboxes for remote workers to check (no actual phones plugged in). We added the corret transfer sequences for the VM to work correctly in F66 with no problems.

Their issue centers on transferring to these mailboxes from the following methods:

(1) They used to take a CO call and press trans plus XT which would place the caller in the appropriate MB. We worked around this by telling them to press their VM button (440) and the XT. We have never been able to transfer to an XT's mailbox without a phone plugged in, but they said they used to do this.

(2) While the workaround is fine for the first problem, they also utlize the VM to allow callers to press an XT to leave a message in one of these mailboxes. Since the mini-mail has no "mailbox state" like the Flash mail, we are not sure how this worked originally. It seems to be the same issue as the previous problem, but there is no way to tell the VM or caller to work around this.

Sorry for the extended post, but I'm trying to be specific. To sum it up: there is apparently a way to transfer to an XT on the system when no phone is plugged in and it will go to that XTs mailbox. We have never been able to do this without virtual stations on our other Vodavi systems, but the previous tech who installed this found a way. Any ideas?

We have currently tried: (1) plugging in a phone at each XT and hard forwarding all calls to VM and then removing phone; (2) changing the phone type to SLT and its variants in F51; (3) setting the forward in F51 to 440.
