Ah, I found something. Start > Run > secpol.msc Under Local Policies, Security Options there is an option "Network Security: LAN Manager authentication level" if you change it to "Send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated" everything started to work again  HTH someone else.
