For about a year, now we have had a 7271C without a power cable. It was misplaced, thrown out or something. Anyway, we couldn't find it.
The other day I noticed some old cordless phones, and popped the batteries out of them---and saw that the power cable that is attached to the battery is the same end that the 7271C has. So we snipped two of them & soldered them together. Voila!!
Now, most of you probably knew that, but for us, it was a revalation and a problem solved.
