I'm trying to get a couple ITP phones working from an OS100 R2, MCP v1.76b, MGI v1.24. No problems getting the ITP phones working locally but no talk path when tried from an off-site connection. WAN connection is to FiOS, the Vz-provided router is an Actiontec MI424 Rev E. I have 2 static public IP addresses for the MCP and MGI, both are StaticNATed, with port forwarding enabled to their respective cards; all the ports should be wide open. All I get is signaling from off-site, I can play in programming all I want and even make calls, but no voice path no matter what I do. Samsung tech support says it's blocked ports and after a little Wiresharking I concur.

During a Vz tech support session to resolve the downed internet connection there this morning I learned that the Alcatel terminal at the MPOE has compatibility problems with Cisco (and Juniper and Sonic) switches and routers, the tech moved the IP addressing to the ONT and the internet returned. But in trying to resolve what appears to me to be a problem opening the ports required to make this work the last suggestion I was given was to get a new router.

So, anyone have any knowledge of compatibility issues with Alcatel terminals and the Samsung MCP and/or MGI16? Anyone have any issues getting ITP phones working over a FiOS link? The far end is an ATT DSL connection. And, as much as I don't want to, anyone have a preferred router that works on FiOS (and isn't Cisco, Juniper or Sonic)?

There a bit more to the saga, but this is already too long.... Nightmare job that should have been pretty straight-forward. Planning on upgrading the MGI software to v1.26 in the morning but I'm running out of faith that it'll work. TIA.
