The Iwatsu programmer can be set to determine valid COM port numbers on start up, and will show them all in a drop-down window. Try turning that feature off in the options tab. Restart the programmer, then go to System Manager from the Control Panel and verify the COM port number your USB adapter is using; select that COM port number on the Iwatsu Programmer. Sometimes, a PC with multiple USB ports will assign a COM port number to a particular USB port. If you happen to use a different port the next time you use the adapter, your PC may have assigned a different COM port number.

Also, are you using the Iwatsu proprietary DB9/RJ adapter or a generic one? Genereics won't work for this application.

Hope this helps.

Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.
