I am working on a MBX IP that we have just installed in a hotel I am having difficulty in changing the extensions for each room example room 335 is coming up as 112 on the main station when I go to change it I get 335 is a invalid number and it changes it back.

Problem 2 I have had nothing but problem setting up the VMIB with this same system and hints or clues would be great. help

You most likely have a numbering conflict. You have to scan the whole numbering plan and delete or change any existing number that you want to use before you can reassign it to an extension. The system defaults with extension numbers 100-473 already assigned,so you have to delete all the numbers you want to move.

There is not much point in setting up the vm until you get the extension numbers the way you want them.

You are mighty brave to be installing an MBX in a hotel environment.

Yes he is. Let us know how that goes. You are the first one I know doing it. MBX is nice system once you get your head around it. Helps if you worked on SBX first
