It sounds like the user set up their mailbox with notification, but instead of programming their cell/pager number, they entered their extension number. Since the mailbox has messages waiting, it is repeatedly 'notifying' them by dialing the extension number over and over. First, they need to delete these messages. Second, they need to go into the notification settings for their mailbox and edit or disable this function. It's all user-level stuff.
