They have done away with both models, so refurbished is your only option. I found this out the hard way a year ago. Do you know if the bases can be swapped on the same wire? Meaning will I have to do any programming? I currently have the 7895 set up properly however the handset speaker died. Can I just remove the old base and plug the 7896 in? Thank You
