I wish there was something like a release key on any of the NEC systems (1100, 2100, 9100) to use after a page has been made. In my old Nortel days, I told customers to make the announcement, then press Release. This way, when they hung up the receiver and it bounced all over the place, everyone didn't hear it.

I tell the customers to use their finger on the hook-switch to hang up, then replace the receiver.
