My company is starting to get faxed a number of forms called "Consent to Receive Faxes" from legitimate businesses. Apparently the FCC is trying to get "legitimate" faxers to get authorization from another company to send them faxes as of 7/1/05.
Does anyone know if only companies sending solicitations to non-current customers need these or does everyone?
Does the average company, faxing to it's current customers/vendors need one of these forms signed? I wouldn't think so. I'm just not sure if I should be making sure these are filled out by our vendors/customers so we can fax them without penalty.
I would also think that the fax scum/broadcasters of the world would care less about these forms and the FCC rule isn't going to be of any real benefit.
Anyone up on this FCC rule for 7/1/05?
Thanks, Rhonda
