Hello!
I have a CIX670 that uses multimode fiber to connect to it's "daughter" cabinets in other buildings. We have run new singlemode between buildings and I was considering trying to find a way to connect the PBXs to one another using a fiber-fiber transceiver, convert it to from multimode to singlemode and back again. Most transceivers seem to be protocol specific, with Ethernet being the most prevalent (in my world). I can't find anything on the RRCU1 card that specifically states if it uses Ethernet or not. PBXs aren't really my forte....googling around I've also found mentions of it possibly being SONET....or something completely proprietary.
Can someone who actually knows these systems tell me if it's Ethernet? Or if there is a common way to connect these over singlemode without making any changes to the PBX hardware itself?
Thanks in advance.
