There is an informercial on television offering an 800 to buy their "stuff." When customer call the 800 number, they are instructed to dial a long distance phone number to talk to CS. (This should clue customers right away).

Anyway, the long distance number they offer to callers is very similar to my D-I-D bank. When I tired of their calls, I set that D-I-D up with a mailbox and a greeting telling calls they have reached the wrong comany with the correct number to call.

This saves the switchboard operator from taking a lot of calls. The only problem we have now are the crazy callers saying vulgar things on the voicemail. Like it's our fault they miss dialed?

For you, is this individual dialing a D-I-D number or one of your trunk numbers?

Otherwise, I am not aware of how to block a caller from reaching your main number - with the exception of going through legal means.

Good luck! I know how frustrating that is.
