We have an Avaya Partner Mail with an ACS R3.0 module and two 206E modules. The system started interrupting the connection on all phone lines for a period of about 1 second every 10 seconds. The voice connection is interrupted, but after the 1 second pause, the voice is restored without dropping the call. I replaced the ACS unit with a rebuilt unit, and the trouble persists. I have connected a convential phone to each of the phone lines coming off of the pole, and they are all good. Any thoughts?

To rule out the phone system, get a 34 button phone or a DSS-48 and program DSS buttons for all extensions and VM ports and see if it shows you the problem child.

Replace the 206E mods 1 att a time. After that replace the Mail, nothing left. Of course its possible it's a set. But more likely a card.

I agree it is more than likely a card, thus the reason to do the DSS test. smile

ETBETZ... this is the exact problem I'm having. Have you isolated/fixed the problem? Please share?
