Do you need anymore confirmation?
Take the wire that goes to the dialer and punch it down to the phone system.
The FBI will not come arrest you for taking the dial tone away from these useless units and unplugging them. No one will even bother to come pick them up.

Be carefull. Some dialer are are still in use. I have a couple of customers who hate to dial 9 on Centrex resold lines. They have dialers that actually add the 9 in before sending out to the CO.

Thanks for all the intell. I will leave the dialers in for now. I will be moving this client and the dialers and Win 100D won't go!
The new system is going to be a 3Com NBX3000 anybody want to share opinions on this system? Going to be local IP use only, T1 trunks for inbound/out.

They are dialers, we used to use them to direct collect calls through a POP. The ones we used were Teltronics but were black and would interlock with each other to stack.

We have one reseller who can't do this. Apparently the Telco here charges the reseller more for absorbing 9 and they won't pay the extra fee.
