Just shipped some headsets out to a customer for use on 5224 and 5220 phones. I looked up Mitel part # 9132-800-500-NA - Mono Headset with Voice Tube. My customer plugged them into the headset jack on the phones and is saying they are not working. Is this part number for TDM devices only or should it work with the IP phones?
Thanks,
Rich

I know this is of no help to you but we use Plantronics Model CS50 with lifter kit for our 5220 sets . We have had no problems with them and are free to move about our section of the building . Plantronics has about 15 models that will work with the 5220 IP sets corded and cordless. Did you try one on your IP sets before you shipped them ?

Did the customer program a headset key on the phones? i.e. Superkey > Personal Keys > Select a programmable key > Change > Headset
Did the headsets have powered cables or do they require amp's?

To this forum . Please complete your profile . The Tech's on this forum like to know whom they are helping . Thank You . If you have taken under consideration the purchase of wireless headsets it would be prudent to list the type and model number under consideration . The model I mentioned works well with the model 5220 ip set .

Thanks! Yes, it was indeed the headset key that needed to be programmed. This customer has another vendor working on the system and I assumed they were using headsets on other phones. Ah well that's what I get for assuming -
OBTW - I'll take a look at my profile; I thought I had it pretty much complete - sorry!
Thanks for a great forum,
Rich
