I have an install where I am installing a Mitel 3300 with analog POTS lines. I have only done these with T1's and PRI's. What line type should I use to set these trunks up? Several users will have access to these trunks and will have the ability to answer the ringing trunks throughout the day. They will have button appearances of the trunks, as well (I can't break that mentality). I tried settting up a few trunks and chose the line type of Key SSystem but this creates an affect (I believe it's the line type that's causing the problem) that when you are on a line, whoever has that appearance can pick up the line.

Again, what line type should I use for analog trunks that will be showing up on multiple sets as line appearances?

Thanks in advance.

the way i have done this in the past is to ring the trunks to a hunt group and put the hunt group members on the phones as line 1, line2, ect.. this will give the customer the visual that they are seeing their lines but in reality it is still acting as a pbx. if you need further help pm me.

Phone God speaks truth. I just did this with a 200 ICP in Vegas. I am not a big fan of using the key system functions. I think it can be limiting.

Are you saying the other phones can beak in while the line is in use?
I also agree that setting up the "appearence" of a key system is the way to go!

I here that 3300 ICP rele. 8.0 will have an additional feature called a Ring Group. This feature is supposed to be what I need for the POTS.

I don't fully know what this will do but they say it would work. The Hunt Group response should work as well. Thank you guys.
