Hello, I have mitel sx-50 and I am trying to transfer calls to a guests room, but LOCK and a busy signal apper. I have looked thru all my manuals and find nothing about how to take the lock off so the guests can receive their calls. If anyone has any info on this is would be welcomed!

means the phone is locked out. this usually happens when the phone is left off the hook. I would suggest maybe swapping out the phone in the room (the switch hook might be bad) and see if that clears the problem. If it is in a hard lockout verifying the phone is on hook and rebooting the system may clear it. Other than that you are going to need a tech.

Try a *32, AFTER you take the phone to a different room and test it. Normally, you get a 'LOCK' when the phone is off-hook without dialing for an extended time. This can literally be the phone handset is not hung up, OR, something is wrong with the phone, line cord, jack, or 'GULP' the port in the SX50. If you decide to check the jack, remember that there may be 2 jacks in the room. Heck, there may be 2 phones in the room. John C. (Not Garand)
