Can someone explain where to go and how to unblock an area code in a mitel 200 icp that is restricting calls to a specific area. I can dial into the system using pro-comm but don't know where to navigate to. Any help would be appreciated!

Go into form 26. Do a 'show strings' when you've highlighted the leading digit (9)???? Look for the area code that seems to be restricted. Change the route/number to match an entry that's working properly.

I apologize but, I am not a mitel tech, however Iam certified on ESI, Intertel, and have worked with telecor, and comdials. Thank you for the info but, I don't know how to do a show strings. What I am trying to do is remove an area code so that guests at a hotel can call home 787. Thanks.

Highlight row with access code for your trunk group (9) in form 26. On the bottom of your Pro-com screen will be option 9. Click on it.

If you are in with procomm when you sign in and get your main menu put in 26 then hit "enter" key.
If they are using 9 to dial long distance then then make sure pointer is opposite leading digit 9 then hit "escape" key then 9 for "show strings" (do not hold escape key down while you are hitting 9 - in CDE you need to hit escape before any number in the boxes down below)
at that point your digit strings will show and you can hit "escape" 3 to insert and route 1787 to a route (as mentioned above) that you know is working properly.
If it tells you the digit string already exists then just hit "escape" 6 and then "escape" 7 to find string then "enter" and adjust the route so it will route properly.
Hope that helps.
PS - you don't 'have to hit "escape" 0 for enter you can just use the enter key.

I can't get past the CONNECT cursor after dialing in. I even had them reset the modem for me. Any suggestions?
