Recently added some IP phones (5212's) to a customer site. When dialing 9 for outside line I get "no access". I have tried putting CO line key appearances on the keys, but I get the same result. All IP phones are in COS #1 and I checked the default values. No IP trunking here, just 6 CO lines. ??? Oh, and also just upgraded them from 2.0.8 something to the latest 5.0 something.

COS is not important. COR is.

Is the system setup as "square key" type or pbx? Are there any other multiline sets (420/4025 etc)? If so what is on the keystrip of those sets?
Or what is the cos/cor of other sets that work?
Is this a hotel/motel? If so, maybe the default value for new phones is set to internal. Look at form 4.

Yes, the default is set to internal. I'll have them change the restrictions this morning and test. Hotel yes, thanks. No other multi-line sets.

With this being in a Hotel enviroment, check form 4 and see what the default settings are for checked in & checked out. Usually these are set to internal and any new phones added will be treated as checked out, go to console and change them to local or LD and set will be/remain in corrected state.
