OK, folks, maybe I knew how to do this once, but...

Customer says that before I changed the day/night overflow destination to ONS port 004, ext 103, from 000 (Night Bells that don't exhist) and changed COMM 100 reg 08 in a couple of other places, DIL trunk calls to ldn 1, 2, and 3 on the console would ring 2-3 times and then go to 103. Overflow? Nope, he never had to reset it, EVERY call would ring at console and if not answered, go to 103.

I've been told by another customer that their calls would go to the ring group in the same manner.
WHAT AM I DOING WRONG !!!!!! frown frown frown

Exactly like I have! I'm wondering if disabling d (night bell mode in night service) will do what I want. Then just never put it in night? Wish I had a system on the bench for ---- like this! frown John C.

does it work in day service?
looks like all is programmed correctly. Grasping at straws now, cos 1 is there anything in there that might be out of the ordinary?
one other thing drop the auto swithing to 10 seconds in case there is a conflict with another timer, possible another grasp at a straw

As far as I'm concerned it's correct. BUT, like I said, customer claims calls would overflow, hunt, forward, whatever to ext 103, port 004 after 2-3 rings. But NOT switch to overflow. EVERY CALL RANG AT THE CONSOLE, THEN WENT TO ext 103! I do not see how this can be, but I've been told it works by other customers!
Re COS 1, I didn't change anything there.

Re change timer, maybe, but it's 2 hours away.

I have access to another 50/MS55 at a motel close by, maybe I'll set up the scenarios I can imagine on paper and try them out there. They say theirs used to do it too!

I'll let you know if I figure it out, you do the same. As far as I can see, it's a contradiction that can't happen, based on feature descriptions! frown

Later: OK, the little details that came out at the local motel Monday, and proved factual at the one 2 hours away, once I had reliable translation. They were using 57 to get calls from bells locally, and 2 hours away, from a 'phone' they have been unable to find, but seems to be in the hallway ceiling. And overflow was always on both places, but the first translator, at the 2-hour distant motel, asked if 'something other than time was on the display'. The translation I received was what is on the display now (NIGHT, not OVERFLOW).
