We have Mitel sx-100 with call accoutning system in the motel. We had extensive power outage. And it lost all the programming from RAM. We did all programming for generic 217, including all ext & etc. But we have one issue, when incomming calls picked up by master extension and try to transfer to different ext. (in the room) it disconnect the entire call.It happens when we picked up the phone using main ext. But it works fine when we picked up the call from the console. What option we are missing in programming. And also we have call accounting connected to it. We also did program, but somehow it is not showing any charges. Do we have to do any option programming to charge for each calls. Are we missing any option to programming. Any expert advice will be greatly appreciated.

Enable "FLASH" in COS. What brand of Call Accounting machine?

Also when system in "Night mode" and someone dial "0" from any extension, it suppose to ring on Master extension , but it is ringing on console. What option I have to programm for that. Or do I have to define that master extension somewhere. Please advice me.

Re flash, in COS for the master extension, make sure option 46 is NOT enabled, in system options make sure 180 IS enabled. If it still does not work , when you flash for transfer dial tone what do you hear? If you hear dial tone, when you dial extension, do you hear ringing. If the extension answers, how do you transfer the call? I do not recall a night destination programming option for the 217 and haven't been able to find anything in documentation. I remember the work around I used, but maybe someone here remembers something I don't. (I am starting a thread about 217 batteries, look there for the answer to your battery changing question) John C.

Transfer works OK now. But still it is not showing any charges for any outbound calls. We tried every option suggested. SMDR shows all information, except charges. It is printing truck no like T042, T046 etc. as a charge $. Any advice.

You are looking at the output of the Phonebill? If so, sounds like the Phonebill is in some sort of diagnostic mode and just pasing the SMDR through.
