Sure is, see the manual. WARNING, it takes approx 1 TON of paper! See, every type of card will work in every slot. The print out will have all the common commands, 100, COS, Console keys, etc. THEN, the card slots. There are 10 printouts for ONS, 10 printouts for TRUNK, ten printout for COV/DIG SS cards. Oh and the key pattern for each of the 8 SS ports on each COV/DIG board. Remember, this is whether they are installed , OR NOT! Kid you not, it takes several reams of form feed, in a dot matrix printer. Don't even think about laser or ink jet! AND do this when there are very few calls being made, preferably between 1 AM and 5 AM.

Might be faster then to do it from scratch then. I was just thinking I could do a print out at one of my other properties because they are supposedly programmed all the same.

I would use your laptop hooked up to the printer port and capture the information to a file. Easy to do with Procomm. When I do it I boost the speed to 9600 to make it go faster.

This thread sparked my attention to try this. How would you do a data load using hyper terminal. The manual says to use Tape back us ( dont know what kind of tape backup to use?) But if I were to use a terminal emulator whats the process for doing a data load is what im getting at.

I tried that several times over the years. Never got anywhere with any of several different comm programs, ProComm, Hyperterm, couple of DOS programs, etc, didn't make any difference. It's apparently a VERY ticklish timing thing. I should mention that we did it in the shop with freshly programmed new systems, ideal conditions, never could get it to work. And I never talked to anyone at MITEL that could honestly say they did it.

OK thank you sir. I'll quit trying. Have you ever tried using the tapes that it talks about in the manual?

i used hyperterm & followed the sx-50 manual In hyperterm
use capture text to for the data dump. send text
for the data load use 1200 baud any faster %^^^%
up & the only thing i ever got to up load was the
the station data & trunk data. ARS never was right. remember this is a text file not .db after
you capture text its just as easy to open the text file with notepad & reprogram throuh console. ps disable smdr & wake print

You can call me John, lh, lightning, or pretty much anything but 'sir', I put my pants on one leg at a time! smile
That said, I tried to locate the tape unit they suggested, it was no longer available new and used was higher than new! That was 15 years ago.
