Hi guys,

Please forgive me if this topic is posted somewhere. I did a search but could not find a solution.

I have a Mitel SX50 phone system at my hotel. I would like to transfer/forward phone calls to the central reservation office. Can someone please help me out with this problem?

I programmed a abbreviated dialing button but it wouldn't let me transfer the phone call.

There is an assortment of system programming that needs to be correct and probably is not. That said, what do you hear when you try to transfer the call? Oh, and can you set up a conference call between 2 outside lines and 1 extension in the system. If you can't, you are done until you get a tech on site to rework the program.

The councel will not let me transfer. It does noting when I hit the "5512" speed dial number that i setup.

I can make conference calls.

If I hit 5512 it calls the number that I programmed it to call.

but it will not let me use it to transfer. So lets say I have an incoming call and I want to forward it to my 800 number which I programmed on speed dial 5512. After picking up the call and hitting 5512 to transfer the counsel will do nothing. It will keep me on the line with the original caller.

Can you set up a 3 way conference, FROM THE CONSOLE, that includes the console and 2 trunks? If so, can you 'release' from the conference and the 2 parties remain connected for 5 minutes?

And what happens if you dial 5512, wait 3 seconds and push 'release'? Does the call go through?

Its not so simple to transfer call from Console to Abbreviated number to External destination. Not gonna work. You better off to setup an ext. that would be forwarded all calls to abbreviated number. You have to make sure that COS reg.4 fields b has 3 activated, field f is active, Com.100 Reg.5, field c is 1 and Trunks have a Supervision Enabled. After that you just transfer any call to that extension and all calls will go to your 800 number. I did it many times for Hotels. Just make sure your Ext. has an appropriate COS.
