If you connect to the T1 card in the mitel can you make and receive calls to a T1 test set? If you can then it's the telco. I've had an CSU ACE go bad on me before but if the old telco circuit works then it's the new one.
Have them connect their Tbird to your circuit per your settings in CDE 13 & 42. If they sold the customer on the service then it's up to them to fix the issue if inbound and outbound calls can be made to the Mitel via a Tbird.

when I switch back to the old carrier, everything works great with the settings I have had for the past 10 years. I agree with XetaTeck

I've had nothing but trouble with Paetec. ATM and credit card machines that have been working for years now work 10-20% of transactions. Now that's progress!

Are you sure you are hearing Paetec's dial tone, rather than ARS dial tone? Other than direct trunk access via a console, I don't know how you would be able to hear Paetecs dial tone. Another thought. Precise dial tone is generally accepted as exhisting and Mitel expects it. If you are truly hearing Paetec's dial tone, does it sound like previous providers?

Thank you, all for responding. There is some news. I talked with an old friend at Verizon yesterday, He told me, confidentially, that Verizon will only install what the client (in this case Paetec/Cavalier) orders. The circuit, as designed by Paetec/Cavalier is not engineered properly. There are three different equipment configurations that Verizon has to have on those loops and paetec/Cavalier ignored Verizon's information regarding the loops and all the conditioning equipment on those loops. I guess the give-away on this little mystery was the T-berd and the Cavalier tech. After I thought about it, I took my TCOM ACE to the site and, sure enough, I was able to dial out on Cavalier's circuit....with 990 ms of wink. I ran an all 1 pattern and got back an ugly pattern. The Mitel can't make heads or tails of that mess coming from the carrier. I sent the carrier the information I was able to get from Verizon and told them of my test results. I guess I'll just "hold my breath" and see if they actually fix the problem. Thanks, guys. I appreciate the input. It got my old, sleepy brain to remember some of the things I used to be able to recall immediately 40 years ago when all we had to worry about was N Screen. Rcaman
