So the voice mail is 6830, the pbx is 61320 (both direct connect to the LAN). The Tel-machine can use the remote port and an Ipocket to interface as, say 61321? Does this sound correct?
Thanks

The default database uses 61328 for smdr, but it should be programable.

Article ID # 04-3849-00270 Article Type How-To Guide Article Title Programming a Precidia Ether-232 Plus/ iPocket Telnet to Serial Conversion Unit Publish Date Aug-4-2011 Description/Symptoms This document will review the procedure for programming the Precidia unit. It is assumed that PBX programming has been completed for the application requiring Telnet to serial conversion (i.e. PMS or SMDR), and Folio documentation is available for reference. Note: This document contains information regarding both types of Precidia units. It is important to identify the type of Precidia that is being implement to make complete use of this document and ease of installation.
Body/Solutions The Precidia unit is required for external systems that do not support Telnet connectivity such as some call accounting and PMS servers. To setup the Precidia, you will need the following equipment and information: • A communications program set at 9600, 8N1. • A null serial cable if you have an Ether 232Plus, a straight through cable is needed for the Ipocket. • The IP address of your SX-200 ICP • The IP address you are going to use for the Precidia unit • The Telnet socket you've programmed as your device in form 12.
As noted in the technical documentation, the following are the port numbers as they associate to PLIDs in form 12, and the port for E-MEM PMS connectivity: PLID Port (Socket Number) 1/13/20 61320 1/13/21 61321 1/13/22 61322 1/13/23 61323 1/13/24 61324 1/13/25 61325 1/13/26 61326 1/13/27 61327 1/13/28 61328
The socket for E-MEM PMS support is 6830

If TEL has a TCP/IP interface, then I would think so, but I've never seen a TEL with a network port.
The TEL would have to be programmed in the same IP range.
The point of the iPocket is to convert TCP/IP from the ICP to Serial for the TEL. 61328 is a TCP/IP "Port Number" and not a PLID.

Ok, so the Tel machine is serial only, even out of the remote port....but this is what I discovered today. The PMS people were doing a remote to help me interface everything. We dicovered that the PBX interface (LAN) would only work when the Ipocket had it's power unplugged. That's right. When I apply the power to the Ipocket the PBX does not send an AK. When I unplug the power transformer it starts dumping data. Maid in room, check in-check out etc. I am at a loss as to how this is even possible. No POE.

Western, sounds like a flow-control issue that the Ipocket uses when it's powered up. W/O power. it's 'nothing' on the network.
