We recently got a 5000 system at our office and are trying to get some 5320 phones to connect to it via the Internet without using VPN. The phones connect to the phone system (extension and menu appears, and you can place calls) but we get no audio. I have seen similar issues listed here. I have opened up these ports on our firewall (as we're using NAT): UDP 200001 UDP 6004-7039 TCP 6800-6802 UDP 5004-5005 TCP 3998-399 TCP 6880 UDP 5567 UDP 5566
On the 5000, under Devices and Feature Codes -> IP Connections -> Local -> IP Devices, we have the correct external ip address set at NAT IP Address. Now, under Expansion Module, no IP is set. The installer said nothing of needing another IP address there.
Any further insight on this issue?

On each of the phones you have in the field, go to System\Devices and Feature Codes\Phones\Specific Phone\IP Settings and change the 'NAT Address Type' to 'NAT'. Test.

Superfoneguy is correct. Our Mitel installer made some calls today and figured out about the NAT setting. IP calls coming through from the 5320 now just fine without VPN.
