Lucent makes a unit called an AIU which is T1 fed from a 5ESS switch of a unit called a DNUS. The AIU is a type TR303 DLC. We recently have aquired a problem with ground start to a nitsuko unit. The system works fine with copper feed, but on the DLC it only takes incoming calls. One cannot get dialtone from the AIU DLC. anyone know anybody that has had a problem simaliar to this and the resolve of the problem? We have checked EVERYTHING, carrier, switch provisioning(5ESS)checked all provisioning of the DLC etc. Any help would be appreciated. Brad
The only dumb question is the one you don’t ask as that is the question that can make or break you. Brad

What Nitsuko system are we talking about? If its the DS or VS you will have to see if you can make your T1 a loop start. Let us know
