I shut down a perfectly operating Nitsuko Portriat 824 system while recarpeting was being done. Upon powering it up, it does not work and emits a high-pitched beeping from each telephone speaker. No dial tone. Not lighted buttons. I replaced the disc battery which was dead. Please help. I'm in Austin, Tx

try powering up with all phones and station wiring disconnected from the KSU and one phone wired directly in at the MDF

Skip, Thank you for the suggestion. It didn't work, but we found a local service guy who did get it working. George
