Anyone here have the 5.03 program running on windows 7? I have it loaded on my laptop, can open and connect to the 124i, but the download will stop part way through. I tried adjusting the idle sensitivity down, which worked on previous windows OS, but here it doesn't. Am I missing something?

I haven;t been able to get it to work since win 98. Even then could rarely get it to do a complete download/upload unless I restarted in a DOS shell. I tried making it work with DOSbox on a XP machine, but gave up after 5 minutes when I couldn't get the serial port recognized properly. Unfortunately, I carry around a second laptop that runs 98 for such occasions (Protege program and Nitsuko programming)

I had it working on XP and even Vista (piece of dung laptop). May try uninstalling then reinstalling to see if that changes things

be curious how you got it to work on XP... I never got any systems out there that would support the windows version...didn;t it need a certain software? or EXPRU board or something?

Actually, I didn't do anything special with XP. Just loaded it and ran it. Same thing with Vista which has me scratching my head over 7. The only thing I ever changed was the idle sensitivity, which I turned all the way down. As for the windows version, i believe it required the so called enhanced software (6.00.15?). I tried the windows version, but found it to be clunky and difficult to navigate. I ended up going back to DOS even on the enhanced software.
