Customer has a CICS 6.1 with Call Pilot 100. Just upgraded from 6x16 and "Boat Anchor" StarTalk. With the Startalk, when listening to messages, one could hit the * button to increase the volume level. Any idea how to increase the volume level on a Call Pilot using the CP interface?? (not looking for "hitting the volume up button" on a M or T series phone - need to do this when remotely picking up messages) Thanks for any help.

Sorry - but it is not. When I hit the * button to increase the volume, it says, "You have stopped playback of an incoming voice message." Remember that I said this is the CALL PILOT INTERFACE. Probabably if it was set for VM INTERFACE, then you would be correct that it is the same. Anyone use the CP Interface and knows how to increase the volume of the playback??? Thanks

you are correct. * is help in the CP mode. the ref manual does not offer a volume control option in the menu for CP mode.

My manuals show the Call PIlot 100/150 interface to be * volume control during a playback and * to stop messages and go to menu after the message is played. It looks like it is dependant on when the * is pushed. But only for VM not Call Pilot interface. Seems strange that this has not popped up before as this would be a highly desired feature.

i agree. i'm not sure how i overlooked this either. hell i've been telling people its star during playback out of habit. oops. weird thing is no one has complained, which we all know clients like to do. hmmm. i rarely set up clients for the VM mode, but as you know it mine is. Maybe i'll reset it and do some toying. also time to make some calls to support.

At least I don't feel so stupid - like I overlooked something. I thought I was missing something. Maybe Nortel will do something about this if someone can figure out someway to let them know. HA NOT !!! Thanks for the feedback. Let me know if you get any info out of support.
