Sorry for the Subject ![[Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]](https://www.sundance-communications.com/forum/smile.gif) (and you thought it was a test) would like to get some personal responses on Pop-ups...if I may. Everyone sees pop-ups on his or her computers from time to time...if you don't your opinion is of great value too. 1. Do you look at em? 2. Do you ever click on em or do they catch your eye and you go investigate, if or when time is aval.? 3. Are they so annoying to you that you look at em and swear you'll never do business with that company and then delete em? 4. Do you just delete em, never look at em and be on your marry way? 5. Did you get software just to get rid of the damn things? Please let me know your true thoughts. [This message has been edited by test-ok (edited June 26, 2003).]

I've come to terms with most pop-ups; they exist, I accept that and delete without looking. What REALLY annoys me are the animated pop-ups that you can't delete until they complete.

Ya know they annoy me. I don't like them but I have found myself looking at a few. The worst is when i delete a pop up and 2 more pop up. I ask because i'm thinking about doing some advertising through pop ups. Your answers make me believe they are the way to go. i only get charged if the pop up is clicked on....so the only ones who will click on it are the ones who may be interested in it. Otherwise they will delete it and I won't be charged anything. Any other thoughts. ![[Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]](https://www.sundance-communications.com/forum/smile.gif) and thanks for what youve laied on the table so far.

Next to spam, Pop-up's are the most annoying thing on the net. I used to check a few out until i figured out that they were mostly scams. "click on this link for a free DVD"?? Sure you got the free DVD, after you signed up with a monthly video sales company or Columbia House, etc.
I would be afraid to use Pop-ups for advertising for fear of alienating customers. There are some more subtle and effective ways to do ads on a web page.
