First I want to say that I came across this site by accident and I am really glad I did. I have been reading alot of the questions/answers and I must say its a privilege to be here. Question: I have recently installed a BCM 50 (first one)and all has gone well, however the last visit to this client I had to add more keycodes for stations and voicemail. That went well. They have a PRI line and I had to take a couple of the target lines and move them to the new stations. I ended up creating a bit of a problem for myself but with determination I ended up getting everything where I need it. Long story short, is there a simple process on the BCM 50 that I should follow when moving target lines from one extension to another and is it the same for the BCM 200 and 400. I set up an install my first BCM 400 in the next week. I also need help with understanding the dip switches on the 400. I have taken a course but not quite understanding setting dip switches. This client has a PRI with 66 telephones and 4 nortel conf. units and Call Pilot 150. Thank you from The Telephone Lady

I am not sure why you would be moving target lines? I always try and match the extension to the incoming DID as much as possible and as sentrex says keep a record for a site the large. If you have different ranges you different groups of target lines.
Two girls later and I'm back.....lol...been gone a while but see same faces still here. Lol

Thanks, I guess I should have worded this differently. This is a new company that started out with a PRI with 20 DID numbers. They have half of the third floor and each office space including 1 meeting room and the phone in the server room have been assigned a DID number at their request. They have now aquired space on the second floor and I needed the DID numbers from the meeting room and the server room to be move to two of the new extensions on the second floor. Set relocation was set to yes and I was wondering if that was how I got myself in a bit of a problem. I resolved the issue but not until an hour and a half later. This is my first go at the BCM 50. I have done most of my work on the laptop even though I know I can go into programming through the phones. I want the experience going through the laptop for when I attempt the BCM 400. I am guessing that when working through the laptop that I can make these type of changes without worrying to much about set relocation. I have added my location to my profile. Thank you for your replys.

I have lots of notes, always. The original default extensions where in the 2000's and I changed them to the last 4 digits of the DID number. I think I just got myself a little confused once I started the whole process as I had other changes to complete as well.
