Has anyone found a nice container to put scotchlocks in that will last longer than the 45 seconds that little cardboard box lasts in my tool bag? I have a layer of them covering the bottom of my bag, all compressed. I looked for a small plastic bottle with a screw top but couldn't find any.

How about a small mayonnaise jar? Or, did you look at some of the Rubbermaid containers used for food storage?

I carry a handful of scotchloks in an old ibuprofen container. For an entire box, nfcphoneman has it covered.

I use a small tackle box for all those little things that tend to get lost in my tool bag.

I use a tool bag to carry my tools in. So I just use one of the side pockets of that bag to keep them in.

Like Phil, I use a small plastic box similar to a tackle box. I use it for other small hardware as well. Try Lowes, Home Depot or Wal-Mart.

I have a plastic peanut butter jar. Most projects i have require a few of something. So during the course of doing projects I can always get what i need and I'll always have stuff added to it. It's never gonna be organized but a least it will be there somewhere. It has, 8 pin mods, 4 pin mods, bridge clips, beanies, plate screws and the list goes on. Ever have to wait for an elevator, go to the parking lot, pass back thru security, wait again for elevator all just to get 2 of the above items.

I buy them in cartridges instead of boxes for that very reason. The boxes that cartridges come in are more sturdy because the hard plastic cartridges keep it from getting smashed. I also discipline myself to only pull out a few cartridges at a time and keep them in a screwdriver slot in my bag. That way, I only lose 20 or 30 if something goes wrong.
