HAVE A 128 (8X24) THAT LOOSES ABOUT 2 HRS A WEEK CUSTOMER HAS A CLOCK RADIO FOR BACKGROUND /ON HOLD MUSIC PLUGGED INTO THE SAME UPS WHICH DOESN'T LOOSE TIME SO IT DOESN'T APPEAR TO BE POWER SOURCE THAT IS CAUSING THE TROUBLE NO OTHER PROGRAMMING OF SYSTEM IS LOST IF POWER LOOSE IS PRESENT TIA

You're expecting a system that is at least 10 and as much as 20 years old to keep acurate time!! There is no fix.

YES or at least I have a customer that expects the time to be correct , I just wanted to know if changing out the cartridge Dr.5 two piece would help or is it a cap in the KSU Unit was bought 6 months ago as referb ???

I'd have to open up a system to be sure, but I would guess there is a real time clock somewhere on the main circuit board of the system. Just like in a computer, this module contains a crystal, and is used to keep track of the time and date. The software cartidge isn't going to have anything to do with it. So you could probably get some electronics repair shop to replace to RTC, but there's still a good chance the time will be off slightly. And of course, you're looking at at least a day of downtime.
