I installed a Nortel CICS with a CP 100 in my office this week (4x16). Everything is up and running (AA, VM, etc.) Last night I noticed that "Line002" will not show a dial tone. It acts as if the line is hung up. I read some posts about line hang up problems. It seemed as if the Telco was responsible for all of those. However, I rewired to put different incoming phone lines on different lines in the Nortel system. No matter what phone line coming into the office it is always Line002 on the system with the problem. Once you connect the wires to make Line002 hot, theres a dial tone. Anytime a call comes in or goes out, the line is hung up again. I don't feel its a Telco problem because it doesn't matter what Telco line is hooked up to Line002. I've tried copying all the line settings from Line001, Line003, and Line004 to Line002, but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

Is this a used system? Plug a line in to CO Port 2 and monitor with a butt set. Mark

It's a new system (phones and all). I don't have a butt set, can I use a multimeter to monitor it?
BTW, System is: Compact ICS CLID 7.0 Software-IRAD Enabled CallPilot 100 (10) T7316E

Are you sure you set up line 002 as being "supervised"?

Ya, all the lines (Line001, Line002, Line003, Line004) are setup as "supervised".

Problem Sovled. Thanks for the help everyone. For some reason when I went in, cut the Line002 wire from the board and repunched it, it seems to be working fine now. Wish I would've tried that before spending hours going through all the programming. Thanks again.
